As the pastor of a small country church commanded to carry the message of the Gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world, I recognize the urgent need within the Church today for making disciples.  As I engage in sharing my Christian faith, while speaking to and teaching others, it is important for me to be as transparent and up-front as possible so that you can recognize where it is that I am coming from and why it is that I teach what I do.

The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. That the Holy Bible is the infallible, inerrant, living word of God. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Eternal Triune God

  • God the Father - God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude all men.

  • God the Son - Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

  • God the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine.

The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ died for sinners (Timothy 1:15, Romans 5:6-8).  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

How to know God?

1.    Realize that you are a sinner.

2.    Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

3.    Repent of your sins.

4.    Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Pray to receive Jesus into your life;

Jesus, I know I’m a sinner, you laid your life on the cross and died and shed your blood for my sins and I ask for forgiveness and come into my life as my personal Lord and Savior
